Original 44 Star U. S. Flag 10' x 6' circa 1891-1895 Wyoming 7-7-8-7-8-7 star row

Up for grabs is an antique original 44 star flag. It is an estate find and was found in an attic. It measures 9'8" x 6'1". It has a star arrangement of 7-7-8-7-8-7. The stars and stripes are each stitched. It is made of a thin cotton canvas and has little brass rings sewn in at the ends. It is not in mint condition.

Do not expect a perfect flag. It does have some condition issues. There are several small holes. Maybe about 10 or so smaller then a penny. There was not enough pictures to show them all.

There is some writing on the hanging side. It says the size and 5.00. There are also some small white stains on the blue section. The two far ends away from the hanging side have some stitching that may be a repair. I took close ups of both.

The material is yellowed from age, and there are a few small stains here and there. Overall There are no major defects like tears or huge stains, or huge holes.

It has a musty smell from being in a box in an attic. I have had it out for about a week, and the smell has diminished a lot.

It will need to be aired out. It is a very rare flag.

Not many survived all these years, and it is rare to find one this large. Take a close look at all the pictures to see what you will get. I took lots of pictures to show the conditions of the items.
